Wifi Aerial Booster
We bought this device online for about 40 Euro’s . It was a risk of course, we didn’t know what we were getting with the potential of being 40 Euro’s out of pocket. It is Canadian made and yes it worked. Before we plugged the aerial in the signal we had was weak and we could only pickup signals close by. After plugging it in the signal strength went up and we could pick up more wifi sites further away. In several counties we use McDonalds’ to access their free wifi which before we had the aerial we had to go inside to get a good signal. This was sometimes not convenient as inside it was noisy and when Skyping it was hard to hear and we had to talk back loudly for the people to hear us. Now we can park in the car park sit in our motorhome and access the internet. Occasionally we feel guilty and buy a coffee or muffin for the use of their internet.
At many campgrounds they have internet but the signal is often weak and we often see people carrying their laptops nearer to the reception area to access internet. We like being able to set up and point our aerial in the direction of the office and happily sit in our motorhome and connect to the internet.
Motorhome Wifi sells wifi aerials http://www.motorhomewifi.com/ I have not tried them so cannot comment on their performance. I suggest going on some forums to get some advice as to the type which is best for you.
This small devise has helped us greatly and would recommend any computer user to get one.
