We last visited Guedelon castle in 2009 after a recommendation from a fellow traveller. We were keen to revisit and see how h had been done. We have watched a British documentary on it called ” Guedelon, The secrets of a castle” ‘ and it seemed a great stopping point on our way south . We were very pleased to see the difference that the few years had made, even seeing the changes that had happened since the documentary. A large car park was now onsite with provision for motor homes and new buildings for souvenirs and support services.

We left Guedelon after a satisfying few hours exploring the site and headed for our overnight stay by the river at Moulins.
