Not Your Average Motorhome ! As we have travelled through Europe we have seen some interesting motorhomes that have caught our attention. Below are some photos of a few. Saw this old motorhome at Aubigny-sur-Nere France at the aire. The small car, colour co-ordinated drives into the back. It is a converted delivery truck and is 49 years old. the owner did the conversion. Inside it is divided into an upper and lower level. Saw this at a campsite on the beach near Barcelona. You can see by the camper behind how big it is. The rear folds down allowing the small car to drive in. We met Aurelie, Charles and their children Anthony and Lou-Ann on the Transfargarasan Road in Romania. They plan to travel in South America later in 2015. The truck is a 1980 Renault that used to be a Firetruck. They converted it themselves. We wild camped with them next to a river. Spent a pleasant evening and night together. We met this German couple on a beach is Greece. It is a converted 1965 fire truck. A unique feature of this vehicle is that it has a deck on the roof which can be accessed from inside via the sunroof above the bed or the rear ladder. This motorhome we saw near Meteora, Greece. There were 4 people traveling from China in their sponsored motorhome. If anyone is looking for someone to sponsor we will gladly put your signs on our motorhome. Chinese motorhome numberplate. This photo Jenny took as they were driving out of a campsite in Budapest. This motorhome used to be a beer delivery in Switzerland. It was converted in 1992 and its cruising speed is 65 kilometers an hour. In Slovenia we saw this Citroen motorhome conversion. Very Cute!! We parked next to this truck motorhome in Marrakesh. Makes ours look very small. The Germans love thier big truck motor homes. This was the first one we saw in Chefchaouen. The next two were bigger. Truck number two in Chefchaouen. This one has also made a trip to Australia. This is by far the biggest motor home that we have seen. Compare it with the 4 x 4 behind it. Saw this on the street in Budapest. A home made land rover conversion. From side on it looks like a caravan/motorhome. This bus was seen in Amsterdam. About 15 people got out each with a bike, they were on a day trip. A very retro looking van seen in Amsterdam. Saw three motorhomes in the Freiburg aire. All were converted trucks. This one had a map of the world on the side. It must have some grand plans. I though this truck/motorhome was just being stored in the aire until in the morning it was gone. Another truck conversion. Very popular with the French. We saw this motorhome in the aire ar San Marino. It was converted into a motorhome by a swiss couple. We were lucky enough to get a tour of the inside. Very well done with an interesting layout. PDF 📄
