In the morning we could see girls and women all with pink shirts on making their way into the city, we guessed that there was a fun run happening in support of breast cancer. As we crossed the bridge the road was crowded and there was sea of pink shirts coming from the city centre.

We decided to do a free city walk and headed to the meeting point next to a fountain near the main church. The group was divided into two groups, Spanish speaking and English.  The tour lasted for two and a half hours with a break in the middle at a local pub. The photos below will show you some of the sights we saw along the way. It was now lunch time and we found a really good restaurant away from the busy tourist area. During the day we didn’t see a barber shop at all.

After returning to the motorhome at four in the afternoon we headed north again, we still have a long drive back to Holland and we must press on. We overnighted in an aire at the town of Merida. Another quiet night after a very busy day.

Merida

Ewout slept in and the ladies went to explore the archeological sites of the town. The photos below will show you what they encountered. It would be a short drive today about 80 kilometers to the town of Caceres where our fridge saga continues.
