If you have been following this blog you are probably wondering what has happened? Well our WordPress app decided not to work and as I only have a tablet with me, not a computer. Apparently after a few emails with the app people it may get sorted out! I live in hope.
5th September 2019. Stayed at the designated parking area for motorhomes. No services. Close to a supermarket and near the town.
Comacchio
We had a late start this morning as we were still feeling the effects from our days in Venice. We arrived at Comachio at lunch time and found a park with a bit of shade. To explore the town we used our bikes. A very quiet place with a few canals. We spent a few hours in the Ancient Delta Museum €6 entry fee. Nearby they had retrieved a ship that had sunk nearly 2000 years ago. The contents of the ship were displayed in the museum. A ride up to the old eel processing factory and back to the Bunyip.

New Zealanders
Apron our arrival back from our ride we discovered that our neighbours in the car park were New Zealanders. Tim and Tina. It was good to have a conversation in english and we invited then for a drink. After a few hours and getting late we parted company and have vowed to keep in touch.
6th September 2019. Stayed in the San Marino motorhome parking area. All the usual services.
Ravenna – Mosaic Day
The morning did not look promising, dark clouds overhead and the forecast was for thunderstorms. After bidding farewell to Tim and Tina we set off for Ravenna and if you haven’t already guessed it is famous for its mosaic churches.
Ravenna, Province of Ravenna, Italy
We arrived mid morning to find the carpark we had chosen was partially flooded, luckily there was still a dry place and the sky’s were clearing. With raincoats at the ready we set of. There are 5 places of interest which have the mosaics and for a cost of €9.50 you get to see them all. They were within easy walking distance and it was also an interesting town as well.
As we walked through the town we came across Dante’s tomb. He was a famous Italian poet who died in 1321.
Luckily the rain kept away and we had a pleasant day. We were very impressed by all the places we visited and the photos will not give them justice.
San Marino
Our day nearly over it was time to visit another country. The Republic of San Marino is very small and completely surrounded by Italy. We arrived late in the afternoon and parked in the motorhome designated parking, alongside some interesting motorhomes. A large truck one that we were invited in to take a look. The people were Swiss and taking it out for a test run. The other interesting motorhome was a Chinese one. It had been a long day and tomorrow we shall explore San Marina.
