After a late start having to change some of our money at a post office, long story but I wont bore you with the details. Our drive took us to the ruins of Dunluce Castle where we carefully parked up, with 2 big tourist buses there was not a lot of room in the carpark. For a couple of euros we explored the ruins. most of the ruins are from the 16th and 17th century. Apart from taking some photos I have attempted to take a video with my phone.

The Giant Causeway
The Giant’s Causeway is on most visitors to Ireland to do list. We were no exception, and we were pleased to be able to add it to our itinerary. We’ve been having trouble booking experiences online as it links our credit card to our Australian phone number. Not having our Aus phone sims in use and using a UK “3” sim has made it impossible to get the text notification to confirm our book. Fingers crossed and with hope we headed for the carpark and had no trouble parking up and going to the ticket office for our carpark ticket. Its free to see the causeway but with no parking except for the carpark provided your left with no choice. So, after paying our due we headed off down the path with many other nationalities to see one of the wonders of the world. We were not disappointed, it is an amazing phenomenon, the masses of polygonal basalt tubes are exciting to see, and the dramatic sight is the stuff of myths and legends.
Trivia : Led Zepplin fans will know that the album cover “Houses of the Holy” features the Giant Causeway landscape in the artwork.
Our overnight spot on top of the cliff.
In our travels through Ireland we have stayed at some amazing places, on top of mountains, next to lakes, beach-side, beside abbeys and monastery’s, next to parks , canals and sand dunes. There have also been the less glamorous in city car parks. This night we stayed on the top of a cliff at Kinbane Head. Sent the drone up to have a look at the spectacular coast.
