14th August Martin’s place, s’Gravendeel, S’Gravendeel
After our stay in Amsterdam we headed back to Martin’s to get the Bunyip finally sorted. This is the first year that we are not returning to Martin’s as we fly out of Rome. A few final repairs, washing done and everything packed. Our last night in s’Gravendeel was very quiet. We were all worn out from Amsterdam.

On Thursday morning we headed towards Enschede to visit more family. As we had plenty of time we decided to visit the town of Deventer. Martin joined us on this trip and we parked the Bunyip in a large Carpark on the outskirts of the town, hopped into Martin’s car and drove to the centre of town. After a kebab for lunch we found the local tourist office and bought (nothing is free in the Netherlands) a walking map of the town. For the next couple of hours we explored the old Dutch town, very enjoyable.

Enschede
After Deventer we drove to Enschede to catch up with more relatives. Cousin’s Mike and Dennis as well as Dennis’s son Maurice. They organised a cafe for us to eat in, very quaint with great food and drink. I ordered the ribs, 750 grams. I must say they were the best I have ever eaten. It has been a couple of years since we have caught up with our family in Enschede so the conversation came thick and fast. That night we said our farewells to Martin then we slept in the motorhome area in Enschede and he drove back home that night.
