I has indeed been a while since our last blog post, over 9 months. I am trying something new with this blog, I am going to prepare the whole post on my pad and then publish it using the WordPress App. Please let me know if it looks any good?
Off to Morocco
We have good news, some sad news and some boring news. I think it would be best to start with the good news. It is now les than 6 weeks before we head off again on another one of our adventures. This time we are going for 7 weeks starting in Holland and making our way down to the bottom of Spain and then crossing over to Morocco. It is here that we plan to spend most of our time before heading back via a different route. We have been to Morocco previously in 2011 and really enjoyed the experience. The photos in this blog are from our previous trip. Jenny’s sister Lori will be joining us again and is very excited about visiting and exploring the sights, sounds, tastes and the different culture that Morocco offers.
The Bunyip (our beloved motor home) has not been entirety idle. Luke (our son) and his wife Karen along with thier 2 children Alexia and Riley are currently doing a tour of Europe and England. All is going well and they seemed to have taken up the motorhome lifestyle with ease.
Over the last few months I have been traveling vicariously by following the blogs of fellow motorhomers enjoying their tales and photos. Keep up the good work and I look forward to writing and posting photos of our travels when we are on the road again.
Some sad news
Since writing our last blog Jenny’s father passed away in December. He had not been well for some time and he was 90 years old. It has been a mammoth task sorting out the family home and we are still not finished. 50 years of accumulated stuff has been sorted, the house has been painted and the garden put back into a manageable state. We still have a few more jobs to finish and then we will be putting the house on the market for sale. Thus ending another chapter in our lives.
Now for the boring
Well more the mundane really. Since we returned from our travels last year Jenny has been working at her job looking after disabled people in their homes. When not working she has been busy making some amazing quilts for family members and has joined a quilting group in Wallaroo.
I have been very busy, apart from sorting out my father in laws house I have been working at various jobs. Security at the new Hospital in Adelaide as well as the football games. Helping my son Ryan with some of his jobs, he does home maintenance, roofing and building work. I have also been working with my friend Jeff who is a house painter. And in my spare time I have been working on our farm accommodation project at Wallaroo. So you can imagine that I am very much looking forward to our next trip away.
Our farm accommodation project at Wallaroo. 7 cabins still with plenty of work to be done.
The title of the blog is also the title of one of my favorite songs by the band Staind.
Enjoy the film clip. Hope the link works, still playing with the settings on the tablet Our next blog will be in about 5 weeks when we are back in the Bunyip and on the road again. Cheers Ewout
