s’Gravendeel Holland 4th April 2009

The weather the last couple of days has been rather nice, yesterday it was even 20o and sunny. The daffodils are everywhere and spectacular in large drifts on the road verges and parks and gardens. They look so cheerful with their sunny yellow and I just want to go and pick bunches of them to spread through the house.

We have planned to go to the market in Dordrecht this afternoon, We will have to ride our bikes over there but it’s rather cool today and may rain, though this never seems to stop the hardy Dutch. I suppose we can alway’s wear our rain gear.

Well we have finally picked up the beast. Now it is sitting outside Martin’s house ready to be set up for our trip. It’s rather strange to see it sitting there outside the window. There’s no turning back now and that is exiting. We have booked it in for a check up with the garage on Tuesday and all being well will take it out on Wednesday for a few day’s to get the feel of it and work out what else we may need. Then we have to be back here on the 12th April to go and watch a soccer match in Rotterdam with Michel.
